ReptiChip is just a great substrate for my tropical snakes. It holds moisture well without being wet and is easily managed. I'm a fan!
I like ReptiChip as much as other brands but others can’t compete with the price. I have a lot of reptiles so bedding cost adds up quick so it’s nice to be able to buy bulk but also fact it comes in bricks it’s easy to store a larger amount in a limited space until I actually need it.
I’ve always stuck with reptichip due to never having issues with their products except for dust when I’m working with it. This product is perfect because it doesn’t have nearly as much dust and tiny fibers as the other reptichip. If you worry about what I did this is the perfect ready to go product for you!
This is my first time using this product, but I mixed some water in and it has been maintaining humidity in the high 80%s without being soggy. It was clean and not dusty.
I’ve tried many substrates and this is by the the best coconut fiber substrate available.

I use the microchip for my neonate candoia paulsoni, and they do really well on it. They can burrow underneath it if they want to, and it holds humidity really well. I also mix it into the bigger chunks for some of my mid-size animals, to give them a looser substrate that doesn't pack so tight. They really seem to enjoy it.
